Project Title: Development of telecommunications services provided by Sághy-Sat Kft. through the introduction of state-of-the-art technology

Presentation of the Project Content: Through this development, individual centers have been established in the municipalities, and these centers are connected to the headstation in Bóly via the existing optical links. Within the framework of the project, the hardware and software necessary for building a system capable of utilizing and receiving optical fiber cables – including a high-performance Lenovo Storwize server, GPON ports, emulation software, and multiports – have been procured, which marks the first step in the development of the internet service. As a result of the development, the center is capable of receiving signals over the optical cable, and five substations (Újpetre, Birján, Szederkény, Szajk, Nagynyárád) have been upgraded, improving internet service in 12 municipalities. Consequently, the quality of the service currently provided by the enterprise will increase significantly, ensuring nearly the same high-speed internet access in disadvantaged, hard-to-reach small municipalities as in a major city. By deploying the first elements of the system, the enterprise integrates a new technology into the process, resulting in numerous changes and, at the same time, positive impacts on service quality. This innovation contributes to retaining jobs within our enterprise, increasing revenue, cost-effective and efficient operation, and strengthening the local economy. Our enterprise strengthens its market position, is able to continue the growth experienced in recent years, and can appear on the market with a product of stable quality.
The following equipment was procured under the scope of the project:
- 1 unit of Lenovo /IBM/ Storwize V3700
- 3 units of OHP-0819 WDM Multiport EDFA
- 40 units of DOCSIS provisioning emulation software
- 5 units of Lumia SI300 G8 GPON OLT
